Camping

Today I got back from camping. It was a great experience! Friday morning daantje and I went to Ryan's gymnastics just before we went camping. It was cute to see how Ryan wanted to show everything he can do. On our way back we grabbed some lunch at this cute little store. The sandwiches were really good. After lunch Shannon, Mark and Edie came to pick up Daantje and started their journey to the big sur on the California coast line. Around 3 o'clock I went to the camping place in Big sur with Amanda, Eric and Ryan. It was a 2 hour journey. Once we got closer to the coast the view was beautiful! The clear blue sea in combination with the rocks is just breathtaking. When we arrived Daantje's and mine tent was already set up. It wasn't a big tent but just big enough to fit in our bags and airmatress. We also met wouter, his wife and kids. Wouter helped us find our internship so it was nice to meet him. Shortly after every tent was set up we had dinner. I had a pizzaroll made by Mark and it was very tasty. After dinner we chilled around the campfire. I roasted a marshmallow and put it between graham crackers with chocolate in between it. It was so sweet but tasty too. After some marshmallows Daantje and I went to go sleeping. The next day we woke up around 8 o'clock, quite early. We had some breakfast in the sun, that was pretty good. Around noon we left to go to the beach with Amanda Ryan and Eric. Daantje and I took some beautiful pictures over there, it was so beautiful! The sun was shining very bright, but the wind made it a bit chilly. Around 4 o'clock we went back to the camping where we had some dinner. Than we chilled at the campfire again which was super fun! Again Daantje and I had some marshmallows. Then we headed back to our tent and went to sleep. This morning we woke up and started to pack everything. When everything was packed daantje and I played with Ryan and Edie at the playground for a little bit. Then I left with Shannon, Mark and Edie. On the way home we stopped at an artichoke farm where I had some deep fried artichoke. Again it was really tasty. When we arrived at Shannon's I was really tired. I just hang out a little bit until Amanda, Eric, Daantje and Ryan returned. Then Shannon dropped me off. We went to watch a hockey game of Eric. It was really cool to see that. On our way back we got some Indian takeaway food. I had a great weekend and it is an experience to never forget.
